Our Birthing History
In 2002, during a time of prayer and deep communion with God, the Holy Spirit deposited a divine seed into the heart of our Prophetess Kay McCray. That seed was Broken Clay Ministry—a vision birthed from the wellspring of John 4:4–42, the encounter of the Samaritan woman at the well. Just as Jesus met her in her brokenness and released living water that transformed her life and entire community, the Spirit revealed a ministry that would flow with the same purpose: to bring healing, wholeness, and restoration to thirsty souls through the power of the Holy Spirit. Two years later, in 2004, the vision expanded as Pastor Kenney and Kay joined together in covenant marriage. From the beginning, their union was marked by a shared call—to build a Spirit-filled, prophetic, healing, and deliverance ministry that would touch lives from the inside out: body, soul, and spirit. Together, they nurtured what the Spirit had birthed, shaping Broken Clay Ministry into a place where the broken can be made whole, leaders can be equipped, and God’s people can be released into their Kingdom purpose. From its conception at the well of prayer to its growth into a ministry of transformation, Broken Clay Ministry has remained faithful to its foundational call: to lift up Christ, release the Living Water, and watch as individuals, families, and nations encounter the power of the Holy Spirit and are forever changed.
